Our concrete process
Layout & forms
Demo if needed, grade set with a laser, forms placed so every edge lands exactly where the plan says.
Base & steel
Compacted base, then rebar on chairs — not thrown in — plus fiber in the mix where it earns its keep.
Pour & finish
Poured, screeded and finished to your chosen texture. Control joints saw-cut clean, never wavy.
Cure & seal
Cure compound applied same day. Foot traffic in 24–48 hours, vehicles after 7 days, sealer when it's ready.
Asked constantly. Answered honestly.
How much does concrete work cost in Los Angeles?
Every project prices differently — square footage, demolition of existing concrete, site access, slopes, reinforcement and the finish you choose all move the number. That's why we don't quote from a chart: we come out, measure, and hand you a free itemized quote — usually within 48 hours — so you see exactly where every dollar goes.
Will my concrete crack?
Yes — all concrete cracks. Every slab, everywhere, no matter who pours it. That's the nature of the material, not a workmanship flaw. What a good contractor controls is where it cracks: proper base compaction, the right mix for the project, rebar and fiber reinforcement, and saw-cut control joints that direct cracking into clean, invisible lines. That's why our work still looks sharp years later.
How soon can I use my new driveway or patio?
Foot traffic after 24–48 hours, vehicles after 7 days. Concrete reaches its full design strength at 28 days, but normal use is fine well before that.
Stamped concrete or pavers — which should I choose?
Stamped concrete gives you the stone look at a lower installed cost and with no weeds between joints. Pavers win on repairability — single units can be lifted and replaced. We install both, so you'll get an honest recommendation for your specific project, not a sales pitch.
Do I need a permit for concrete work?
Simple flatwork usually doesn't require a permit, but driveways with new curb cuts, structural slabs and anything over certain heights do in most LA-area cities. Holding both a general B license and a C-27 license, we know each city's rules and handle the paperwork when it's needed.
